Get to Know Us
We are here to build the Kingdom of God with other women in the church and around the world. To share and build each other according to the needs of the women and to uplift each other in the Lord.
ICC Highly favoured women group was started in 2011.
The mother of the church Pastor Doris Nimo, called for the deaconess at her home to pray for the women in the church, after that prayer meeting and encouragement from our mother pastor, the following weekend all women were gathered and were encouraged and uplifted. The first thing that was done was to build a women's leadership which is composed of deacon’s wives and deaconess. After this was done, seven groups with names from the Bible where all the women were placed were created. The group's names are; (1).Mary,(2). Esther (3) Dorcas (4).Salomey(5).Jechobed(6).Deborah,(7) Abigail.This was done to enable easy interaction among the women by having small groups. We thank God for having a prayerful, loving mother of the church, who is always leading women with passion.
OUR GOALS
The goals of ICCHighly Favoured Women are,
1. To encourage each other in the things of God
2. Pray for one another and also have women's conferences.
3. Visit each other.
4. Support each other in times of need.
5. Share skills and talents.
6. Share moments of joy by having functions
like luncheon, breakfast, and Christmas gift
exchange moments.
OUR ACTIVITIES
1. Home Visitations - We pay visits to the sisters, mothers, and aunties, who are discouraged from uplifting them in the spirit.
2. To fellowship together in their homes.
3. We visit the sick in the hospital and at home to pray with them.
4. We have luncheons.
5. We organize ’ secret friend gifts’.
6. Organisation of women's conferences once a year.
7. Talent sharing with women's meetings to come and teach other women.
8. Women's workshops are divided into different groups with each group having a partner. These groups are mostly made up of married women.
9. Time with single women: Divorced women & widows. This is to share and build each other according to the needs of the women and to uplift each other in the Lord.
